The 2019 Winter Lecture Series kicks off with a talk about Timber Rattlesnakes by Madeline Wiasniewski, NYS DEC Wildlife Technician. Timber rattlesnakes exist in Letchworth State Park, and a lucky few visitors may observe one each summer. Wiasniewski has been studying the threatened timber rattlesnake population in NY Southern Tier for the past five years. Come learn about the natural history, status and common myths about this incredible and secretive species.
